secret beach, kauai
We lived in Princeville, Kauai from 1987 to 1995 until the economy from Hurricane Iniki drove us from the island, plus wanting to be nearer our family. Secret Beach was our refuge after work. Climbing barefooted down the 200 foot cliff to the beautiful beach below the Kilauea Lighthouse. We had our own little cove at the end of the beach where in the Spring the tidepools would form where we would frolic like two kids that we still were and still are, loving the beach so much that it brings us to the Sea of Cortez quite often each year in San Carlos, Mexico.
indian market, santa fe, new mexico
Keith and I live in Santa Fe when we are not traveling down to San Carlos or camping in the Colorado mountains with our grandchildren. Every year in Santa Fe is Indian Market and the Indians dress in their traditional dress for the costume competition. These 3 childrenn really caught my eye, particularily the little girl in the pink velvet skirt. She came on stage down at the Plaza and wouldn't look at anyone, but when she left the stage she was all smiles and waving. As you can see from my paintings, I love to paint children.
